3/8/2023
EL DORADO, Ark., – To promote heart health awareness, the Medical Center of South Arkansas (MCSA) Healthy Women Board will hold its annual Healthy Heart Healthy You luncheon on February 16 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the El Dorado Conference Center. The event will be hosted by Danyelle Musselman, wife of University of Arkansas Men’s Basketball team head coach and former sports broadcaster.
Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the US and nearly half of American adults live with chronic high blood pressure. To help educate the community on the importance of heart health, attendees of the event will hear testimonials from multiple speakers and learn heart facts and tips while enjoying a heart-healthy lunch. There will also be a silent auction and complimentary on-site heart health screening will be offered.
Musselman is the current co-chair of the Coaches vs. Cancer Wives & Friends team and serves as the market chair for the Make-A-Wish Foundation Mid-South Region. Musselman shares three children with husband Eric Musselman and previously covered sports for local and national TV markets including ESPN, FOX Sports and more.
Attendees of the event can participate in a raffle which includes a chance to win a 14K two-tone yellow and white gold diamond key to my heart necklace with a .35 carats total weight on a 14k white gold cable style chain from Murphy-Pitard Jewelers. To enter the drawing, participants can donate $10 to benefit the MCSA Women's Auxiliary in dedication to the organization's efforts to better the local community through nursing scholarships, community donations and hospital service.
Tickets for the luncheon cost $40 per person. Heart health screenings will open at 11 a.m., with the program and lunch to follow at Noon.
