Medical Center of South Arkansas Inpatient Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Program
Inpatient rehab is a 20-bed unit housed on the second floor of the Medical Center of South Arkansas. The self-contained facility includes two rehab gyms and activities of daily living (ADL) including a bedroom, a bathroom, a kitchen and a laundry room, as well as a patient dining room and private patient rooms.

The professional interdisciplinary team in inpatient rehab includes the rehabilitation physician, speech therapist, physical therapists, occupational therapists, nutritionists and a case manager along with rehabilitation registered nurses.
Our rehabilitation medical director makes every effort to visit each patient at least three times a week, which is much higher than the Medicare-required once-a-month visit in skilled nursing facilities.
